This updated sixth edition of Physiology is dedicated to Robert M. Berne (in memoriam) and Matthew N. Levy, the founding editors of this textbook of physiology. Their excellence as scientists and teachers has allowed countless students to learn and appreciate the normal functioning of the human body.
